BAILLIE-GROHMAN ESTATE WINERY

In 2007, owners Petra Flaa and Bob Johnson, embraced a bold vision, transforming 6.4 hectares into the thriving Baillie-Grohman vineyard. Overseeing 2.4 hectares, first planted in 2005, this area cultivates exquisite Germanic, Chardonnay Pinot Grigio, and Schönburger vines. Their newest project is the St. Augustine Vineyard, planted in 2020, that produces remarkable Pinot Noir 115, 667 & 777, as well as iconic Chardonnay.

They pride themselves in cultivating top-tier grapes to create artisanal wines encapsulating the distinct terroir. Named in honour of the iconic pioneer, William Baillie-Grohman, this winery is a testament to his enduring spirit. RED BIRD ESTATE WINERY

SKIMMERHORN ESTATE WINERY & VINEYARD

Emerging proudly in Creston’s heart in the early 2000s, Skimmerhorn Estate Winery boasts grape vines thriving over almost 7 of their 8-hectares, planted in 2003. Merely three years later, those vines began producing robust, superior-quality grapes. Their iconic wines stem from these grapes, no imports, no outsourcing. They have rightfully earned their status as an ‘Estate Winery’, passionately crafting around 4,500 cases annually. 

Indulge in a complimentary tasting from their exceptional wine collection. Take in the breathtaking views of the vineyard that mirrors the majestic Skimmerhorn mountain range. And for those who crave indoors, they are equipped to accommodate you with a stand-up tasting in the wine shop upon request. WYNNWOOD CELLAR ESTATE WINERY

Immerse yourself in the Wynnwood Cellar, where they meticulously craft distinctive wines that embody the unique essence of the hilltop vineyard, overlooking the tranquil Duck Lake. Their Sirdar Vineyard, situated just 6.4-km north of Wynndel, basks in the radiant afternoon sun reflected off the lake, which casts an intensified light on the vines. It’s a shimmering spectacle to some of the finest vineyards nestled next to waters in Europe.

Sip and savour their  selection of wines, including the robust 2016 Merlot and the crisp 2016 Viognier Chardonnay. Find their exclusive wines in select restaurants, the Wynndel Store, and right here at their Tasting Room, open from mid-May to mid-October. The wines, brewed with local Creston Valley and Kootenay Lake area artistry, are waiting to be discovered.
