One of the largest snowcat skiing operations in the world is only minutes from the charming City of Nelson. Adventurous terrain includes 32,000 acres of chutes, glades and bowls just waiting to be explored.

Skiers and boarders are flown from Nelson to the backcountry village in an A-Star helicopter – a scenic, unforgettable 5-minute flight.

From the moment you arrive at Baldface, you’re a part of the family and they aim to show you incredible service and an unforgettable powder experience that will keep you coming back! Guests enjoy 12,000 to 18,000 vertical feet of fresh powder in an area that averages more than 500 inches of snow each year.

The lodge is the hub of activity – you’ll enjoy excellent cuisine focusing on local suppliers and organic ingredients, a fully stocked bar, rec area, games, equipment shop and plenty of cozy spaces to relax. There are also seven timber-frame chalets.

At the end of each powder day, guests enjoy homemade hot soups and appetizers in the lounge with a full bar to make the perfect apres. Also offered are evening appointments with professional massage therapists that will help guests relax and re-energize after a long day on the slopes.
