Big Red Cats offers tours for intermediate, advanced and expert skiers and boarders. This ensures people of the same ability are skiing and riding together.

Their exclusive permit allows access to 19,300 acres of awesome terrain. The combination of deep powder snow, classic trees of spruce and fir, and just plain interesting and varied topography allows the guides to find the best powder skiing and riding that will suit your ability level and powder skiing and boarding dreams.

Enjoy apres ski at their ‘Fresh’ clubhouse. Great for breakfast and coffee before skiing, you can meet your guide here in the morning before jumping on the free shuttle to the snowcats. Request a photographer and enjoy ski photos on the big screen over apres beverages and snacks, and come later in the evening for an excellent dinner.

In addition, Rig Red Cats offer programs such as Introduction to ski touring and CAA approved avalanche courses.

Safety is priority with Big Red Cats. But fun is what it’s all about! The guides all have CSGA, ACMG or international equivalent guide qualifications and CAA professional avalanche training.

The year-round mechanic makes sure that there are 6 powdercats ready to go, so that there is always a backup and no mechanical down days.

Lodging

The Big Red Lodge is ideal for groups of 12 people. Bed configuration includes 12 separate beds in 5 bedrooms and loft. It allows a group to stay under one roof and all eat and socialize around one table.

The Red Shutter Inn boasts the best hot tub in town. Comfortable beds, a hearty breakfast and warm atmosphere with only 6 rooms. Located at the base of Red Mountain Resort.
