These small, creekside hot springs are found 44 km (27 mi) off the Skookumchuck Forest Service Road. Being located at the confluence of the Buhl and Skookumchuck Creek, the pools are often flooded during spring run-off therefore the springs are usually only hot in late summer and early fall. At that time, the water temperature can reach 40C (104F).
Because the Buhl Creek Hot Springs are located in a wilderness setting, please obtain a map such as the Backroads Map book for directions.
At this time, there is no bridge crossing the creek which gave access to the riverside rock lined pools. The hot pools are viewable from the road alongside the creek. Some people wade through the water to access them.
