The Canyon Hot Springs Resort’s 100 acres are set in the spectacular Selkirk Mountains of British Columbia, an area of great natural beauty between Glacier and Mount Revelstoke National Parks. Located 35 km east of Revelstoke.
Located alongside the Trans-Canada Highway, at Albert Canyon, the resort offers 2 mineral hot pools. One is at a temperature of 40C (104F) and the other, a swimming pool is 32C (86F). Time spent in the pools is a great way to relieve the aches and pains of travelling.
With log camping cabins and a variety of other cabins, and nearly 100 campsites (unserviced, power and water, or fully-serviced sites) there is something to suit everyone’s preference.
Adventure abounds in and around the nearby city of Revelstoke. Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Park are renowned for recreational climbing, wildlife viewing and hiking. Alpine meadow hiking, glacier hiking and hut-to-hut hiking can all be done through outfitters who organize heli-excursions in the area. River tours and white water rafting are also available.
During the summer months, visitors are drawn to Revelstoke’s downtown Grizzly Plaza where there is nightly entertainment in the band shell. Strolling through the beautifully restored downtown, you can see over 60 buildings that date back to the late 1800’s. Heritage Walking Tour maps may be obtained from the Visitor Info Centre.
