Fernie is well known for mountain biking and also offers a variety of hiking trails. The Elk Quad chairlift operates 7 days a week including holidays accessing the mountain top. You’ll discover a plethora of outdoor activities and on-mountain accommodation at the Fernie Alpine Resort village.

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort (Golden)
Open June 3 until September 25, 2022.
Explore the award-winning bike park with over 3,700 feet of diverse trails for any skill level from beginner to advanced. The performance rental centre has the latest in mountain bikes to rent..
More summer recreation at the resort include a secured climbing route (Via Ferrata, Grizzly Bear Refuge, Gondola access to hiking and dining at the Eagle’s Eye Restaurant.

Panorama Resort Bike Park
Open June 30, 2022 until September 4, 2022, 7 days a week, 10am-4pm.
The high-speed Mile 1 quad accesses biking and hiking terrain to suits a variety of ability levels. The bike park boasts 17 authentic mountain trails and a vertical of 380 m/1,246 ft. Cox Creek Trail and Fort Hide ‘N’ Seek are two fun hikes from the top of the Mile 1 Quad. Hikers can also access trails and viewpoints of the majestic Purcell Mountain Range and the Canadian Rockies.
