Elk Valley Park is a scenic, quiet and sheltered picnic area within close proximity to the highway.
The only facilities in the park are at the Highway Rest Stop and are not maintained by BC Parks. It consists of a parking lot, picnic tables and wheelchair accessible pit toilets.
The park provides a unique opportunity to enjoy natural features of the Elk Valley and riparian habitat of the Elk River in close proximity to a major tourist route. In addition, there are commanding views of the Rocky Mountains, particularly to the north of the park.
The Elk Valley Provincial Park is within close proximity to Highway #3, situated 18 kilometres (11 mi) north of Fernie.
There are no vehicle, wilderness, backcountry or walk-in camping facilities at this park.
