Fernie Golf Club

A perennial Kootenay Rockies favourite, the Fernie Golf Club speaks volumes about what a game of golf in this region is all about.

The adventurous, mountain-surrounded course is infinitely playable, yet challenging for the low handicapper and the views, well, they’ll knock your socks off! This is also one of the friendliest clubs around. After your round, sit back, relax, ogle the mountains and enjoy some refreshments on their beautiful wraparound deck.

The Clubhouse was built in 1996 and recently renovated. The 5,000 sq ft space boasts great views on the wraparound deck. The Clubhouse Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily in the summer and features daily food and drink specials.  Menu Price Range: $11-$24 per entree. Seating capacity is for up to 150 people, cocktail functions for up to 230 people and staff are fully-certified and friendly.

The pro shop is a full-service operation for all your golfing needs. You’ll find brands such as Taylor Made, Adams and Titleist and host of others. They also have a full Taylor Made club fitting system with  a full line of demos. They carry a wide range of merchandise and their clothing line includes names such as Adidas, Antiqua, Greg Norman, Oakley, Sun-Ice and more.

The Fernie Golf & Country Club opened in 1918. Noted for its majestic mountain setting and playability, this golf course has something to offer for both the low handicap player and beginner alike. With luscious greens, silica sand bunkers, varied terrain and a stunning view of the Rocky Mountains, the golf course is a players dream.

The course is par 70 and 6,570 yards long. Rated in the top 25 of British Columbia’s courses, you won’t want to miss this one on your next golf getaway.
