The Fernie RV Resort offers 161 fully-serviced RV sites, (26 are pull-throughs), 11 tenting sites and 5 heated yurts and. The resort is open year-round.
The location is nestled between the Elk River, Fernie Golf Course and Maiden Lake. It is also close to Fernie shopping and dining. The Riverside Resort Trail connects with the Fernie trail network for endless walking and biking. In the winter months, the trail is groomed and connects with a Nordic network.
Amenities include a family-style washroom with shower, sink and toilet, 30 and 50 amp service, free WiFi, coin laundry, playground, sani-dump and water fill-up station.
Winter amenities include full-service winterized RV sites with all-weather plumbing, regular snow clearing of the sites and direct access to groomed multi-use and Nordic trails.
Glamping
Five forest-side yurts at the Resort offer the fun of camping without all the set up and gear requirements. The yurts are 6×6 metres and can comfortably accommodate a family of 4-6 adults. Available from May to November, the insulated and heated yurts provide a great option for anyone travelling light. Each yurt is furnished with a queen over queen bunk bed and twin trundle daybed. The beds have 20 cm thick memory foam mattresses, fitted sheet & 2 pillows – all you need to bring is your blanket or sleeping bag.
Tenting
Eleven comfortable tent sites are available year-round. All tent sites have 15 amp electrical service, WiFi, fire ring, picnic table, water within 30 metres and on-site parking.
Seasonal Camping
Online reservations are available and several long-term packages are offered.
The Fernie RV Resort has a beautiful quiet location with some of the best views in Fernie and at the end of a quiet road with no through fare.
In the summer, the sparkling waters of the Elk River winds its way through the Elk Valley, offering fly-fishing and float trips on the calm stretches in town and wild whitewater rafting in the lower canyon. Hiking ranges from easy 2-hour waterfall strolls to the full-day iconic Heiko’s Trail across mountain passes. Mountain biking is well served with over 100 trails and a Bike Park, plus Dirt Jump Park and so much more.
