The Bad Shot Range gets an unbelievable amount of snow every year. It piles up in steep chutes, spreads over wide-open mountain faces and fills powder bowls up to the brim. Somewhere in the middle of an old-growth snow forest, you’ll find your favourite all-time run.
The lodge is comfortable and relaxed. The warmth from the wood-burning fireplace welcomes you in. Amenities include a games room, cedar sauna and TV room. The lodge offers 11 cozy rooms. Each room has its own bathroom, hairdryer, extra blankets and other necessities. WiFi is available throughout the lodge.
Great Northern has perfected the art of gourmet comfort food. Breakfasts begin at 7 am and they are all different – some combination of homemade oatmeal, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon and potatoes. Lunch and snacks are served slopeside. Chef Terry rings the dinner bell to summon everyone to the table for a feast. Inspirations are drawn from around the world for the gourmet, four-course meals. Great Northern has two Pisten Bully 300s, the Ferrari of snowcats. They are operated one at a time with a maximum of 16 guests. The cats climb up the mountains even in heavy snowfall conditions that create epic days on the slopes and ground helicopters – snowcats run snow or shine!

Heli-fishing
They are fortunate enough to be bale to access some of the most inaccessible and remote rivers and lake in southern British Columbia. Join them for a true wilderness fishing experience on waters less travelled. Great Northern Fly Fishing is a boutique fishing operation based out of the remote and beautiful Selkirk Mountains. Guests are guided on remote rivers and fish for Gerrard Rainbow, Kokanee Salmon and Dolly Varden Trout. Catch and Release policy.
