The hotel has recently completed a 12 year renovation project that has seen an extensive overhaul for the exterior and every guest room floor, the addition of Aura Spa & Salon and a fresh new look for the General Store, lobby and banquet facilities. General Store Restaurant
The General Store Restaurant in the Hume Hotel is one of Nelson’s most popular eating establishments. Overnight guests can enjoy a full complimentary breakfast if they choose. They are known for an extensive menu that can please anyone adn their weekend Prime Rib dinner special should not be missed. Sunday Brunch is always right for that special occasion or simply to enjoy a relaxing family meal. The vast array of sensational cuisine offered has become popular for room guests and the diversity of local residents alike.

The Library Lounge
The Library has a cozy, parlour-like atmosphere with a replica of the original Hume Hotel bar, complete with brass fittings. Catch up on your reading or absorb some local culture. The Lounge offers a nightly live jazz schedule Sunday through Thursday evenings. Caryatids and original moldings decorate the interior, as does the original monumental brick hearth and fireplace that warms the room. Full restaurant meal service is offered, as are a selection of wines, beer and spirits to complement the music.

Mike’s Place Pub
If poeple-watching is on your list of things to do, Mike’s Place is one of those rare venues where you can rub elbows with artists, musicians, ski-bums, foresters, professionals and more. With something for everyone, Mike’s features locally brewed organic ales from Nelson Brewing Company and other BC breweries alongside international standards on-tap or in bottles.

Hume Liquor Store
Stocked with fine wines from around the world ad many of the best British Columbia vintners available, the liquor boutique also features a selection of familiar brews alongside Nelson Brewing Company’s locally produced organic ales. Handcrafted just a few blocks from the premises, NBC offers something for every beer lover’s palate, while scotch connoisseurs and others will appreciate the lengths they have gone in assembling a top shelf selection of spirits and hard liquor.
