Kimberley Fly Fishing provides incredible dry fly fishing on glacial-fed freestone rivers. The St. Mary, Bull, Elk and Skookumchuck Rivers are full of Cutthroat, Rainbow and Bull Trout.
St. Mary River
The Guides at Kimberley Fly Fishing know this river well – it is their home river and they know every pool, run and riffle. It flows from the Purcell Mountains past Bootleg Mountain and is a tributary of the Kootenay River. The Mary is abundant with Westslope Cutthroat Trout, Bull Trout, Cutbow fish, spectacular views and crystal clear water.
Bull River
Set behind the Rocky Mountains, the Bull River is an aqua blue-green, glacier fed, freestone river. It offers excellent Cutthroat, Rainbow and Bull Trout action.
Moyie River
Ideal for early-season angling from mid-June to early July. The Moyie River is abundant with Cutthroat, Rainbow, Brook and Bull Trout.
Elk River
One of the most famous Westslope Cutthroat Trout rivers in the area and a classic freestone river that stretches from deep in the Canadian Rockies for almost 200 km before depositing into Lake Koocanusa.
Skookumchuck River
A local classic and great Bull, Cutthroat and Cutbow Trout River. Not a driftable River, therefore walking and wading is the only way to access the deep canyon holes.
Lake Fishing
This area boasts countless lakes from valley bottom to high alpine. Rainbow Trout are managed in most lakes with a vigorous stocking program. The lake fishing season ranges from late April to mid-November.
Kimberley Fly Fishing is proud to provide personalized fishing adventure including single & multi-day trips and full instruction for those wanting to learn or polish their skills.
