The Kimberley Lodging Company offers a large selection of ski and golf accommodation at the Kimberley Alpine Resort. Their rental properties include:
From newly renovated ski-in / ski-out rental units to luxury condominiums with great views and private hot tubs to luxury homes within walking distance to the lifts. They are located on-mountain at the Kimberley Alpine Resort and are within a ten minute drive to Bootleg Gap, Trickle Creek and Kimberley golf courses.
Kimberley also offers some outstanding hiking and mountain biking trails. The Nature Park is one of Canada’s largest municipal parks – almost 2,000 acres of hiking and mountain biking trails.
This extensive network of trails criss-cross a natural forested landscape. Maps are available at the Visitor Centre. The Northstar Rails to Trails is the former railway between Kimberley and Cranbrook. It has been converted into a paved 25 km (15 mi) multi-use trail – now a part of the TransCanada Trail and very popular for bikers.
The Marysville Falls and Eco Park offer a lovely boardwalk along Mark Creek to the falls. The park displays a Westslope Trout sculpture celebrating the return of this fish species to the creek. You’ll also enjoy downtown Kimberley, the Platzl, it’s an outdoor pedestrian mall with many restaurants and shops such as Arrow & Axe and Black Dog Cycle and Ski.
Canada’s largest free-standing Cuckoo Clock is set in the Platzl – put a coin in and out comes Happy Hans. A forest-trimmed path leads from the Platzl to the aromatically captivating Cominco Gardens. This property includes pathways, seating area and acres of gardens filled with thousands of colourful blossoms and giant larch trees.
