The Kimberley Nature Park is a place for people to enjoy and respect. The park exists to protect habitat for the plants and animals that live in it and to provide educational and recreational opportunities for visitors. It is open to multiple non-motorized uses and there are six major access points located around the perimeter. It includes a network of trails including Sunflower Hill.
Nearby St. Mary Alpine Provincial Park is 34 km / 21 mi from Kimberley and offers a wilderness paradise for the experienced backcountry traveller. There are hiking areas; please obey signs and keep to designated trails. (pictured above)
The city of Kimberley also offers lovely areas for strolls such as the Marysville Boardwalk, North Star Rail Trail, Lions and the Volksmarch Trails.
