A quiet backroad takes you to this picturesque park nestled under the Steeples Mountain Range, a distinctive uplifting of the Canadian Rocky Mountains that punctuates the local landscape for miles around. The Park is open year round unless inaccessible due to weather conditions.
Norbury Lake Provincial Park is 16 kilometres (10 mi) south from Highway #93/95 near Cranbrook offering day-use, destination and short-stay camping.
Fishing (motor boat restrictions), swimming, walking and hiking are popular activities. The park also includes a boat launch.
The park serves as a base camp for visitors to local attractions such as the Kootenay Trout Hatchery and Fort Steele Heritage Town.
This park offers vehicle accessible campsites (46) on a first-come, first-served basis – campsite reservations are not accepted.
The campground is open from mid-May to mid-September.
