Valkyr Adventures

Nestled in the Southern Selkirk Mountains of British Columbia, the Valkyr Range is a ski touring and alpine hiking paradise.

Ski Touring trips are available from December to April.
Helicopter access from Burton BC, 40 km south of Nakusp.
The summer months offer multi-day hiking holidays.

Summer

It is true wilderness hiking in a unique and rarely explored mountain range. The terrain is vast, the alpine meadows are teeming with flowers and the peaks are majestic. From sparkling alpine tarns to the distant mountain ranges, there is always beauty to behold. Multi-day alpine hiking trips are offered through beautiful alpine areas filled with flowers, lakes and rocky peaks and ridge lines. Stunning panoramic views of the Valkyr, Valhalla and Monashee mountain ranges greet you at every turn.

The hiking season runs from the beginning of July to the end of September. Summer operations are based out of the Valkyr Lodge located on Naumulten Mountain.

Choose the hiking package that best fits your agenda:  guided/catered, self-guided/catered or self-guided/self-catered. All packages include transportation to a treeline trailhead and a guided hike to and from the lodge.

Lodge

Enjoy comfy backcountry accommodation for a maximum of 12 guests, based on double occupancy. Features include private rooms, indoor plumbing, hot showers and a deluxe sauna hut! 7 day guided or self-guided; catered or self-catered options available for group bookings. Guided-catered options for single or small party bookings in feature weeks. Rentals or instruction packages available on request.

Winter

With 8 peaks over 8,000′, abundant tree skiing and panoramic ridgeline tours. Easy access to 7 unique ski zones assures skiing in a variety of conditions and suitable terrain for a wide range of ability levels.
