The village of Radium Hot Springs lies at the southern entrance to Kootenay National Park. The hot pool facilities are located in Sinclair Canyon, just a couple of minutes inside the park boundary. People come here not only for the hot springs, but also for the excellent hiking.
The Sinclair Canyon Trails are an extensive trail system that follows the lower portion of Sinclair Creek. The trails are also an off-leash dog area.
The Valley View Trail (pictured above) is an 8.2 km / 5 mi loop near Columbia Lake. This trail is considered a moderately challenging route and it’s unlikely you’ll encounter many other people while exploring.
The Old Coach Trail is a 9 km / 5.5 mi walking or cycling route between the village of Radium Hot Springs and Dry Gulch.
