JRD Farms is located in Creston – an ideal area and property to grow wine grapes along with mixed orchard fruits.
William Tell Family Estate are producers of sparkling wine, hard cider, perry, old fashioned sparkling apple and pear cider, fruit spreads, cider vinegars and drinking vinegars.
The vineyard is planted with three different clones of Pinot Noir; 115, 667 and 777. The vines are own rooted unlike most vineyards in British Columbia which are planted with grafted vines. JRD believes that using own rooted vines is a truer expression of the fruit.
JRD Farms vineyard is planted at the highest elevation in BC at 700 metres (2,300 feet).
The orchard is a mixed orchard planted with a variety of apples, pears, peaches, plums and apricots. The tree fruits are used to produce all of the products for William Tell Family Estate.
